Dave Stephanian is one of eight children raised by two very creative parents, Dan and Bonnie June. Natives to California, Dave’s parents inspired him through their unique understanding of art, music and business. In 1979, Dave moved to the east-coast and formed his own maintenance company. For 23 years he owned and operated SCM Services Inc., catering to up-scale living in the Washington DC area. In 2002 Dave exposed his inventive side by creating, patenting and manufacturing the portable parking space barrier known as “Save-A-Space. Coming from a large family of artists, and wanting to create art-work of his own, Dave moved his family back west to Colorado and started Davian Designs. Inspired by the beauty of his Rocky Mountain surroundings and the cowboy western life-style, Dave found his artistic nitch. Western mirrors. By cleverly wrapping the frames with leather cowboy boots he was able to join together classical stitch patterns and colors that are accentuated with western tack. After much work, Dave honed his skills and began creating one-of-a-kind masterpieces that have become collectors items found in many homes and businesses throughout the western United States. |
